Can coaching help me with my health condition?

Holistic Health & Well-Being Coaching helps you reach your goals by encouraging you to make yourself and your needs a priority and looking after yourself mind, body and soul.

It is not prescriptive or diagnostic in nature.

Coaching can be used to complement, not replace, the advice of your healthcare provider. If you’ve recently been diagnosed with a health condition and find yourself overwhelmed and struggling to make changes, coaching is the ideal solution for you.

We’ll work together to clarify your goals and build a self-care plan that is in alignment with and complements your health care provider’s recommendations.

Please note that I DO NOT run lab tests, diagnose, treat or heal any condition and I do not prescribe diets, meal plans, medications or supplements. However, I may recommend that you seek the advice of the appropriate health care provider should I feel that any of those may be beneficial to you.

If you suffer from or suspect that you may have a medical condition, whether it be physical and/or psychological, including but not limited to eating disorders, chronic digestive issues, depression or any other chronic ailments, I urge you to seek out a qualified medical professional for treatment before or during your coaching journey.

Will coaching help me lose weight?

Sustainable weight loss is a long game and at HolisticNiss quick fix solutions aren’t on the menu. Our first priority is getting crystal clear on where you are now and where you want to be, and building a solid foundation of positive habits to help you get there.

Weight loss may be a part of your coaching journey but it is not guaranteed.

Individual weight loss will depend on genetic and environmental factors, current body weight, life stage, current habits and behaviours, health conditions, and willingness and ability to make changes.

The ultimate purpose of Holistic Health & Well-Being Coaching is to facilitate habit and behaviour change over the long haul, through a mindful approach to self-care, including the way you nourish and move your body, the way you manage stress, your sleep hygiene, and so much more.

Through Holistic Health & Well-Being Coaching my clients report feeling better in their body, more confident in their ability to listen to their internal cues, and nourish their mind, body and soul to meet their physical, mental and emotional needs, as a direct result of the work we do together.
